Yesterday our slab was poured. Very exciting to see a slab there!

And it starts....finally

Work has finally started on our block after a lot of back and forth with the bank, council and builder.

The site was pegged 3 weeks ago

Then last week we got a toilet

Then on Thursday arvo or Friday morning the site scrape occurred

When we went out to see the site scrape on Saturday the guys putting up the fence had just finished

Then on Monday/ Tuesday piering was completed

On Friday the slab was meant to be poured but it started raining on Wednesday and they made the call to delay. Hopefully Thursday this week they will get it poured. Weather outlook looks good.

The new block

Due to some registration issues and some good luck on our side we rescinded on our old contract and have changed blocks to a slightly bigger and already registered piece of land pretty much behind where we were.

Here are some pics of the block

Settlement will happen early March. House plans are remaining the same because we love the house. Hopefully building will happen quickly all depending on council approvals.

There is already a house being built next door, across the road and 2 down the street. It is all going to fill up pretty quickly.

And the park is looking great.

From The Start

Our Block

Photos from July 2014 before being registered

Below is from the block behind us (previously we bought this block but then changed to the new block)

Looking to the right

And looking to the left

The Lay Out of our selected house

4.5m from road to master suite, 1.5m from right fence, 6m from left fence to house and 8m to back fence. Leaving a nice big L shaped back yard.

And the front of the house although we will stick with brick instead of bag and paint.
